Deposition of microbes under Safe Deposit

Microbial culture(s) deposited under “Safe Deposition” are handled with confidentiality. Only depositor has the access to these cultures. The accessioned cultures will not be listed in Online Microbial Catalogue.

Guidelines to deposit culture under Safe Deposition

1. The deposit under “Safe Deposit” is not valid for filling patents
2. Depositor needs to submit duly filled microbial passport data form for each microbe
3. Depositor needs to submit two pure culture(s) slants of each microbe
4. Only identified culture(s) will be accepted
5. Depositor needs to submit annual maintenance fee annually for each deposited culture
6.  Upon non submission of annual maintenance fee, the accessioned culture(s) will be removed from “Safe Deposition” and will be included in “General Deposition” and will be available to other stakeholders
