In a noteworthy initiative to promote cleanliness and hygiene, the ICAR-NBAIM commenced its Swacchata Pakhwada on December 16, 2023. The event kicked off with a collective Swacchata pledge, with active participation from the entire staff, Senior Research Fellows (SRFs), Research Associates (RAs), Young Professionals (YPs), and the Director of the institute.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan Singh, Principal Scientist, and the Coordinator for the Swacchata Pakhwada program, took center stage on the inaugural day. Dr. Singh addressed the gathering, delivering a compelling message on the significance of cleanliness and its impact on the overall well-being of individuals and the community. He emphasized the responsibility that each member of the institute holds in ensuring a clean and healthy environment.

During his address, Dr. Singh highlighted the schedule outlined by the bureau for the Swacchata Pakhwada, aligning with the directives from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). He urged all participants to actively engage in the various activities planned for the observance of the Pakhwada from December 16 to December 31, 2023.

The initiation of Swacchata Pakhwada at ICAR-NBAIM reflects the institute’s commitment to fostering a culture of cleanliness and hygiene. It serves as a collective effort to contribute towards a cleaner and healthier society, aligning with the broader national objective of Swachh Bharat. स्वच्छता और स्वच्छता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक उल्लेखनीय पहल में, आईसीएआर-एनबीएआईएम ने 16 दिसंबर, 2023 को अपना स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा शुरू किया। यह कार्यक्रम सामूहिक स्वच्छता प्रतिज्ञा के साथ शुरू हुआ, जिसमें पूरे स्टाफ, वरिष्ठ अनुसंधान अध्येताओं (एसआरएफ), अनुसंधान एसोसिएट्स (आरए), यंग प्रोफेशनल्स (वाईपी), और संस्थान के निदेशक की सक्रिय भागीदारी थी।

प्रधान वैज्ञानिक और स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा कार्यक्रम के समन्वयक डॉ. हर्ष वर्धन सिंह ने उद्घाटन दिवस पर मुख्य भूमिका निभाई। डॉ. सिंह ने सभा को संबोधित करते हुए स्वच्छता के महत्व और व्यक्तियों और समुदाय के समग्र कल्याण पर इसके प्रभाव पर एक प्रभावशाली संदेश दिया। उन्होंने स्वच्छ और स्वस्थ वातावरण सुनिश्चित करने में संस्थान के प्रत्येक सदस्य की जिम्मेदारी पर जोर दिया।

अपने संबोधन के दौरान, डॉ. सिंह ने भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद (आईसीएआर) के निर्देशों के अनुरूप, स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा के लिए ब्यूरो द्वारा उल्लिखित कार्यक्रम पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने सभी प्रतिभागियों से 16 दिसंबर से 31 दिसंबर, 2023 तक पखवाड़ा के पालन के लिए नियोजित विभिन्न गतिविधियों में सक्रिय रूप से शामिल होने का आग्रह किया।

आईसीएआर-एनबीएआईएम में स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा की शुरुआत स्वच्छता और स्वच्छता की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने के लिए संस्थान की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है। यह स्वच्छ भारत के व्यापक राष्ट्रीय उद्देश्य के अनुरूप, एक स्वच्छ और स्वस्थ समाज की दिशा में योगदान करने के सामूहिक प्रयास के रूप में कार्य करता है। जैसे-जैसे पखवाड़े के दौरान कार्यक्रम सामने आते हैं, संस्थान स्वच्छ और टिकाऊ वातावरण बनाए रखने के लिए अपने सदस्यों के बीच जागरूकता पैदा करने और जिम्मेदारी की भावना पैदा करने में सकारात्मक परिणामों की आशा करता है।
